2015-01-19In August the chlor-alkali production data on PVC year-on-year fell slightly

According to the latest petrochemical economic data released by the national caustic soda production rose in August this year, and polyvinyl chloride, calcium carbide production continue to modestly decline year-on-year.
In August of this year, the caustic soda production of 2.1617 million tons, up 2.1% from a year earlier, 1-8 month accumulative total output of 17.3359 million tons, the cumulative increased 3.3% year-on-year. Polyvinyl chloride production in August of 1.087 million tons, fell 5.7% year on year, in August 1 to accumulative total output of 8.8453 million tons, has increased by 2.1% year-on-year.
In terms of the upstream raw material, the calcium carbide production of 1.5167 million tons in July, fell 2.5% year on year, in August 1 to accumulative total output 12.6343 million tons, the cumulative increased 5.6% year-on-year. In August the crude salt production of 5.189 million tons, 14.6% increase over last year. 1 - August accumulative total output of 39.616 million tons, edged up 1.1% year-on-year.
